Building Associations & Construction Trade Groups

National Association of Home Builders – As “the voice of America’s housing industry” they are certainly pro-builder, however, there is plenty of information for both builders and consumers. Links to local builders associations, housing forecasts, facts and figures, books, trade shows, and other industry related information. A very comprehensive site – just remember who sponsors it.

Canadian Homebuilders’ Association – Consumer information for homebuyers and homeowners from Canada’s home building industry.

Federation of Master Builders – According to their Web site, the FMB is the “largest trade association in the UK construction industry representing over 13,000 small & medium sized building companies.” Information includes planning a home improvement project, dispute resolution, sample building contracts, dealing with UK builders, as well as, information to help one “steer clear of cowboys” when building or renovating a structure.

Associations, Organizations, Societies – This is our own list of links to construction industry organizations and trade groups. There is some information about trade groups in general, but we have not included any site reviews – just lots of individual links.
