Cardboard insulation baffles

Cardboard insulation baffles have been placed between the roof trusses and above the wall of this house. Their purpose is to provide for a path for the clear flow of air from the louvered screen soffit vent strip through the attic and out the ridge vent. When the blown-in insulation is applied in the attic after the sheet rock ceiling is hung, the baffles will not allow the loose insulation to block the soffit vents.
