A row of houses outside Reykjavik, Iceland

Corrugated steel sheeting is a common building material in Iceland. These houses, located just outside of Reykjavik, all have corrugated steel roofs. The walls are covered with a stucco type finish. The steep roof pitch helps shed snow, and the tall gable on the back of each house adds quite a bit of interest to an otherwise plain house style.
