The Computer Club at Prettyboy Elementary was founded in the fall of 1996 and the school Web site was started shortly thereafter. The main purpose of both was to help this Northern Baltimore County Maryland public school better utilize their computer resources to educate students, teachers, and parents.
Recently featured at the 1998 annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association in San Diego, California, much of the content on this site has been collected by the 4th and 5th grade members of the Computer Club. Students have learned to write text based HTML code to create their own Web pages, without the use of specialized Web production programs. They have also produced scanned images of student artwork and transcribed the original literary works of other children for use on this site.
I am "Prettyboy Proud" to be able to volunteer my time and experience to act as the school Webmaster and Director of the Computer Club. It is truly a pleasure to work along with my wife, Marlena, our two daughters, other parents, teachers, and staff at Prettyboy Elementary.
Sincerely,
Greg Susman
